Hello! I am thrilled to be back teaching Preschool for the 2019-2020 school year! I have over 15 years experience working with preschool age children, in a variety of settings. Over the last several years, I have had the privilege of teaching Spanish to students ranging from early elementary through high school level. This experience allowed me to integrate my early childhood methodology with a language that I'm passionate about. After many years of teaching Spanish, and several others providing home childcare, I was excited to return to the preschool classroom. This will be my second year teaching preschool at HCS.
I have Bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Spanish from Eastern Connecticut State University, and a Master's degree from CCSU. I hold Connecticut teacher certification in Integrated Early Childhood Education, Pre-K-3 and Spanish K-12.
At home, I am mom to two amazing kids, Natalie (5th grade) and Cooper (3rd grade). I love spending my free time with them, camping, skiing, fishing and on the ball field. I also love to cook, can and bake! I keep busy in my garden and with my husband, making our own maple syrup! I love my dog, Rex, and my cat, Stormy.
We are going to have such a fun year!
