Summer Reading

HCS, Have a Blast with Summer Reading!

Summer time is the perfect time to settle in for some great reading! Make sure to visit your public library so you will always have a stack of interesting books on hand.  Remember, books can travel with you and provide some wonderful moments of quiet time in a busy day. Check out the links below for suggestions of authors and books to read.  The Summer Reading Game Board has ideas to get you to stretch your reading tastes as well as many fun reading activities to try.

HCS students are expected to read over the summer in order to preserve the reading gains they made during the school year.  Students may choose to fill out a Summer Reading Game Board or a Journal for the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge. Please see the information below.  Be sure to return your Summer Reading Game Board or Journal to your teacher in August!

Happy Reading, HCS!!
